Surface Pressure Chart Workshop

Sunday, March 20th, 2016: 8:00am – 11:00am ($65)

This 3-hour long workshop takes an in-depth look at surface pressure charts. Based on reviewing additional surface pressure analyses & forecast chart symbols, there will be practice exercises on being able to identify the specific weather conditions associated with the map symbols.


Tropical Cyclone (Hurricane) Basics & the
1-2-3 Rule for Avoidance Workshop

Sunday, March 20th, 2016: 11:30am – 2:30pm ($65)

This seminar & workshop will discuss the basics of tropical cyclone (hurricane) systems & their impacts on the Eastern North Pacific Ocean (Mexican West Coast), & sometimes even Hawaii. We introduce the 1-2-3 Rule for avoidance, and breakdown the Tropical Cyclone Message (TCM) for interpretation, clarity, & application.

Understanding Weather & Cruise Decision Making Workshop

Sunday, March 20th, 2016: 3:00pm – 6:00pm ($65)

This workshop exercise will discuss concepts utilized for coastal, offshore & long distance voyage planning for both North Atlantic & Pacific Oceans (from pilot charts, to graphical, & text based marine weather forecasts).
