Marine Weather 1 (Annapolis, Apr 18-19)

ASCLogo“When you’re out there, you are on your own, trusting that you are prepared for the elements”

Marine Weather 1 is a 2-day course designed for novices as well as experienced sailors. This also means those attendees with little or no marine weather background, as well as an excellent re-fresher for those who have had some weather knowledge and previous weather courses. The course will combine lecture and practical application exercises that provide exposure and awareness as to what a mariner needs to know & understand about recent changes in today’s marine weather oriented surface pressure charts & how best to apply them, especially in important safety & strategic decision making in the environment one sails in.

This course is also specifically tailored for casual sailing within the Chesapeake Bay, coastal cruising along the Atlantic seaboard, or longer blue water offshore sailing in the Atlantic Ocean…south to the Caribbean Sea…east to Bermuda…further north and east to Europe and the Mediterranean Sea.

Price: $250 for both days (or $125.00 for those who already took only the first day from earlier 2-day “Basic Marine Weather” course offerings, and who wish to take the second day, where completing day 1 is required to attend day 2).
